Programs

The power of equine-assisted therapy is widely known by the healthcare industry. At Cadence, we use the enabling power of the horse to assist our clients to work with and overcome their disabilities. Our mission to serve a broad swath of those who have physical and/or emotional disabilities continues to expand in 2010.

Among our goals: to expand our outreach programs to physician groups, physical therapists and personal trainers. Networking with physicians specializing in orthopedic, pediatric, and brain and spinal chord injuries will be an integral part of our outreach program.

Our military families are under enormous stress as loved ones remain in combat zones. This is where our Horses for Heroes Program comes in. The children of those soldiers are all-to-frequently feeling a sense of loss. Spouses are feeling overwhelmed as they handle the responsibilities of a normal two-parent family. Then there are the returning military personnel who have been injured and/or affected by their tour of duty in combat zones. With a divorce rate among our reservists hovering at 70%, Cadence is expanding our outreach to those families as partners in their healing process. Equine-assisted therapy is a tried-and-true method for healing the hearts, minds and bodies of our military personnel and their families.
