Cadence hosted a party to express our gratitude to the many volunteers who helped our clients make exceptional progress throughout the season. We look forward to their return in the spring.

Here are a few images from a great day in the sun

After several rain storms carpeted the region off and on for weeks, the sun blessed our luncheon under the trees where volunteers reunited with several clients and our board of directors. Members of the Cadence board of directors all agreed, this was the best group of volunteers EVER. With caring hearts, compassion, and consistency, they always showed up on schedule to work with our clients. We couldn’t have been prouder as they gave unconditionally at every session. The warmth we all shared with each other rivaled the sunshine itself with the spirit of togetherness assuring we will all be back in the spring.

THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS!!!

Cadence at the Cowboy Poetry Gathering Parade Oct. 3

A beautiful day for Cadence riders and volunteers to share the love with onlookers lining Main Avenue in Downtown Durango.

The sun shown brightly on a beautiful day for the Cowbow Poetry Gathering Parade in historic Downtown Durango. For Cadence, it was the culmination of a very successful season. On foot and horseback, our board members and the numerous volunteers who shared in our success, made our way up Main Avenue to the applause and cheers of the Durangoans lining the sidewalks.

Justin Schmidt, our Horses for Heroes client who suffered a traumatic brain injury while on duty with the Navy in Afghanistan, was recognized by the parade’s announcers as he waved to the crowd who honored him with applause and cheers.

Here is a small photo album of Cadence on parade.
